Who we are

ISKCON of Orlando, Inc., 2651 Rouse Rd, Orlando, FL 32817. We are responsible for the information described below. To reach us about anything on this page, write to info@iskconorlando.com.

What we collect

When you sign the guest book on a tablet at the temple, we record:

  • your name and email address;
  • the date and time you signed in;
  • the city, state or region, and country you are visiting from, if you choose to tell us; and
  • whether you asked to receive our email, and if so, when you asked and the exact wording you agreed to.

Everything past your name and email is optional. If you have an account on this site, we also hold your name, your email address, and your password in hashed form.

How we use it

  • To keep a record of who has visited us.
  • To send you newsletters, event invitations, festival announcements and other promotional messages — but only if you ticked the box asking us to. We do not add you to any mailing list on the strength of having signed the guest book.
  • To let account holders sign in to this site and to keep it secure.

Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with the services that run this system on our behalf: Google Cloud, which hosts our servers and database, and Resend, which delivers our email. Both process the information for us and for no other purpose. We will also disclose information where the law requires it.

Your information is stored in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep guest book entries as an ongoing record of visitors to the temple. We keep the record of your marketing consent for as long as we hold your email address, and afterwards for as long as we may need to show that consent was given. Ask us to delete your entry and we will.

Your choices

  • Stop the email. Use the unsubscribe link in any message we send, or write to us. You do not need to give a reason, and it takes effect regardless of what you agreed to earlier.
  • See, correct or delete what we hold. Write to us and we will tell you what we have about you, fix anything that is wrong, or remove it.

Cookies and browser storage

If you sign in to this site, a cookie keeps you signed in; it is removed when you log out. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and the guest book tablets set nothing in a browser at all.

Children

The guest book is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed in, write to us and we will remove the entry.

Changes

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. If a change affects what you already agreed to when you asked for our email, we will ask you again rather than assume the old answer still stands.
